
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash Sunday evening as 32-year-old Roman Kuzminskiy, a Sacramento resident. The fatal accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Data Drive, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The collision involved Kuzminskiy’s motorcycle and a Nissan Altima. Emergency crews from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded quickly and found Kuzminskiy with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but despite efforts by medical personnel, he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan sustained only minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the crash. Preliminary information suggests that driving under the influence (DUI) may have been a significant factor in the incident.
