The accident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 244 near North Memorial Drive, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) collision report.
The crash involved a 2016 Nissan Rogue and a charter bus, resulting in the fatality of the Rogue’s driver, Pratt, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, none of the 38 people aboard the charter bus, which was traveling from Iowa, sustained any injuries.
While OHP continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash, Tulsa news station KJRH reported that the Nissan Rogue was allegedly traveling the wrong way on I-244 before colliding with the bus. The passengers on the bus reportedly included wrestlers and their families who were traveling for the Big 12 Wrestling Championship.
