TURNER, ME — A Lisbon man lost his life in a tragic motorcycle crash on Friday afternoon in Turner. The accident occurred at approximately 3:49 p.m. on Route 4, also known locally as Auburn Road. First responders from Turner Fire-Rescue and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office were quickly dispatched after receiving emergency calls about the incident.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the rider, identified as 65-year-old William Brooks of Lisbon, suffering from serious injuries. Authorities believe Brooks was traveling northbound on Route 4 when, for reasons still under investigation, his motorcycle veered off the road. The bike struck an embankment, causing Brooks to be thrown from the motorcycle.
