Authorities identified the victim as 40-year-old Douglas Dague Jr., according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. The fatal accident occurred around 12:35 a.m. near the intersection of Conant Street and Clark Avenue, close to Rosie the Riveter Park.
First responders arrived quickly at the scene, where they found Dague unresponsive near the wreckage of his motorcycle and a stationary white vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts, firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene. According to authorities, Dague had been traveling in the area when, for reasons still under investigation, he collided with the rear end of the parked car.
