
WHITEHALL, OH — A 35-year-old man died following a shooting late Friday night at a billiards hall in Whitehall, prompting a police investigation and a call for public assistance. According to the Whitehall Division of Police, officers responded to a report of a shooting around 11:50 p.m. at Players Family Billiards, located at 4380 East Main Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside the establishment. The victim was identified as Corey Divers, a 35-year-old man. Emergency medical teams arrived quickly and transported Corey Divers to Mount Carmel East Hospital. Unfortunately, despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, police said.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear. Authorities have not yet released information on a suspect, potential motive, or whether the incident involved an altercation inside the billiards hall. Police continue to speak with witnesses and are reviewing surveillance footage from the area to gather more evidence.
