BLOOMINGTON, IL — Police are investigating a shooting incident that rattled a quiet Bloomington neighborhood in the early hours of Wednesday, June 11. Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Rainbow Avenue around 2:30 a.m. after multiple residents called 911 reporting the sound of gunfire.
When officers arrived on the scene, they began a thorough search of the area and confirmed that a shooting had occurred. While no victims or property damage were found, the discovery of evidence consistent with gunfire led police to classify the incident as a confirmed shots-fired call.
