
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A tragic hit-and-run incident on Thursday night has claimed the life of a Woodbridge man, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities have identified the victim as 53-year-old Miles Jonathan Moore of Woodbridge. The incident occurred around 9:03 p.m. near Richmond Highway and Easy Street, where officers responded to reports of a man lying in the roadway.
After an initial investigation, police determined that Moore had been struck by a 2012 Toyota Highlander traveling southbound on Richmond Highway while he was crossing the street outside of a designated crosswalk. Moments later, a second vehicle, also heading south, hit Moore again. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was uninjured, but the second driver fled and has not yet been located.
Moore was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Prince William County Police Department is actively searching for the second driver and is urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward. Witnesses or individuals with relevant details are encouraged to contact the police to assist in the ongoing investigation.
