Sheriff Randy Tolar confirmed that Favila’s identity was verified through fingerprint analysis at the state crime lab. Officials have determined that he died from a gunshot wound.
Favila’s body was discovered inside a home on County Road 41-41 in New Site, prompting a homicide investigation. Law enforcement officials are actively working to establish a timeline of his last known whereabouts to determine when the fatal shooting occurred.
