
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Authorities are searching for 21-year-old Angel Gomez Montanez, who is wanted for the murder of 18-year-old Christopher Rodriguez Lara following a deadly shooting Thursday night in north Harris County.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10:11 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 17000 block of Butte Creek Road, near Kuykendahl Road and FM 1960. When deputies arrived, they discovered Rodriguez Lara lying unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS was called to the scene and pronounced the young man dead shortly after arrival.
According to investigators, the shooting was the result of an argument between the two men over rent.
