QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY, MD — Law enforcement is asking for the public’s help in solving a deadly shooting that took place at a house party over the weekend. A 19-year-old man was killed and two others were injured during the early hours of Sunday morning. Metro Crime Stoppers has announced a reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
Deputies from the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office responded around 1:15 a.m. to a home in the 1500 block of Centreville Road, where a large party was taking place. According to witness reports, the gathering included many young people and turned chaotic when gunfire suddenly broke out, causing guests to flee the scene in fear.
When officers arrived, they found three individuals with gunshot wounds. Emergency crews provided treatment at the scene, and two victims were transported to local hospitals. Sadly, one of the victims, identified as 19-year-old Christopher Parsley, died from his injuries. His death was confirmed by the Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.
Investigators believe the suspect or suspects were among the attendees before the shooting began. Detectives have interviewed witnesses, but no arrests have been made as of now. The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and has stated they are following multiple leads in hopes of finding those responsible.
Sheriff Gary Hofmann released a heartfelt statement following the incident. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim whose life was tragically taken, as well as with those who were injured,” he said. “This kind of violence has no place in our community. We are working tirelessly to bring the shooters to justice.”
To encourage the public to come forward, Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for tips that lead to an arrest. Anyone with information is urged to speak out. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may submit tips online, by phone, or through the Metro Crime Stoppers mobile app. Even the smallest detail could help bring closure to the victims’ families and prevent further violence.
