BALTIMORE — Police have released new details about two separate homicide cases that occurred earlier this month in Baltimore. Both investigations remain active as detectives continue working to identify the individuals responsible. The victims, both men in their early thirties, were killed just five days apart in different parts of the city.
The first case involves the death of 33-year-old Darrell Conway, who was fatally shot in the early hours of June 7. Around 2:50 a.m., officers were called to the 3000 block of Thorndale Avenue after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found Conway suffering from several gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, but despite efforts from medical staff, he was pronounced dead.
The second case occurred on June 2 and claimed the life of 34-year-old Derek Parker. Police said Parker arrived at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, but sadly, he did not survive. An investigation later revealed that Parker had been shot while in the 1800 block of Dover Street. Authorities have not shared who brought him to the hospital or how long after the shooting he received medical attention.
As of now, no suspects have been named in either case, and the Baltimore Police Department has not disclosed any possible motives. Investigators have also said there is no known connection between the two homicides at this time. Both deaths remain under active investigation, and detectives are continuing to follow leads and gather evidence.
Police are urging anyone with information about either shooting to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously through Metro Crime Stoppers. Officials stress that community cooperation is vital in helping solve these cases and bringing justice to the victims’ families. The department also stated it will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.
These tragic incidents have added to the city’s concerns over ongoing violence. The deaths of Darrell Conway and Derek Parker serve as grim reminders of the gun violence affecting Baltimore communities. As their loved ones mourn, community leaders are calling for stronger prevention efforts and more support for neighborhoods impacted by crime. Meanwhile, the search for answers — and justice — continues.
