The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a report of gunfire at the Parker’s gas station on Old Augusta Road shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Jamar Hall. A second individual, also suffering from a gunshot wound, was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Their current condition has not been released.
