The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) responded to reports of gunfire around 9 p.m. in the area of North 70th Terrace and Garden Drive.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds lying outside. Despite emergency efforts, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional victims, also suffering from gunshot injuries, were transported to a nearby hospital by EMS. Police have confirmed that the hospitalized victims are expected to survive.
The deceased victims have been identified as 19-year-old Javon Brown and 20-year-old Delorean Jackson, both residents of Kansas City, Kansas. Their deaths have shaken the local community and left loved ones grappling with an overwhelming sense of loss.
