The accident happened just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of Lancaster Drive Southeast and Glenwood Drive Southeast, involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.
The motorcyclist, identified as 21-year-old Jesse Wadley of Salem, was critically injured in the crash. Emergency crews responded quickly and transported him to Salem Hospital, but he later died from his injuries. Authorities have not released further details about his condition at the time of arrival.
A passenger in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital, though the extent of their injuries is unknown. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with deputies during the initial investigation. No citations or arrests have been reported at this time.
