BRISTOL, N.Y. — A 53-year-old man has died following a serious motorcycle crash that took place Thursday night in the Town of Bristol. Authorities have identified the victim as Keith D. Rosato, who was riding his motorcycle along Vincent Hill Road when the tragic incident occurred.
According to investigators, the accident happened around 8:50 p.m. as Rosato was traveling on his 2007 Harley Davidson near the intersection of Vincent Hill Road and State Route 64. For reasons still under investigation, Rosato lost control of the motorcycle. He was thrown from the bike and landed in the middle of the road with severe injuries.
Emergency responders from the Bristol Fire Department and the Canandaigua Emergency Squad arrived quickly at the scene. Due to the seriousness of his injuries—including trauma to the head, chest, and pelvic area—Rosato was flown by Mercy Flight Central to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for urgent medical treatment.
At first, Rosato was listed in guarded condition while undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical personnel, he later succumbed to his injuries. His death was confirmed by authorities late Thursday night. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office stated that the crash remains under active investigation.
At this time, no other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the incident. Investigators are working to determine whether road conditions, speed, or mechanical issues may have played a role in the crash. There were no immediate reports of poor weather in the area at the time of the accident, but Vincent Hill Road is known for its sharp turns and rural setting.
Rosato’s sudden passing has left family, friends, and the local community in mourning. He was known by many as a passionate motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed the freedom of riding. The crash serves as a sobering reminder of the risks associated with motorcycling and the importance of wearing proper safety gear and remaining cautious, especially on rural roads. Funeral arrangements for Keith Rosato have not yet been announced, but those who knew him are already sharing messages of remembrance and condolences online.
