NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV — A 23-year-old man was fatally shot inside Aliante Casino early Thursday morning, triggering a chaotic series of crimes that ended with the suspect’s arrest after a dangerous, hours-long pursuit. The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Na’Onche Osborne, a local resident gunned down in the casino around 4:30 a.m.
Police quickly named 19-year-old Aerion Warmsley as the suspect, but he fled before officers arrived. What followed was a reckless crime spree across the Las Vegas Valley, with Warmsley allegedly carjacking multiple vehicles during a high-speed chase that reached over 100 mph. The pursuit spanned from Cheyenne Avenue to Spring Mountain Road, where Warmsley crashed—only to carjack another vehicle and continue evading police.
The violent rampage finally ended near Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue when Warmsley crashed into a bus stop. He now faces charges including open murder, robbery, and multiple counts of auto theft. Jail records show he is being held without bail at North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center as prosecutors prepare a case that could send him to prison for decades.
Osborne’s death has left the community reeling, with friends remembering him as a hardworking young man who frequented the casino with friends. Meanwhile, casino employees described a scene of panic when gunfire erupted in the early morning hours. “You never expect something like this to happen here,” said one shaken staff member who asked to remain anonymous.
Investigators are still working to determine a motive for the shooting and whether drugs or gang activity played a role. They’re also examining surveillance footage from the casino and multiple locations involved in the chase. The case highlights growing concerns about violent crime in North Las Vegas, where homicides have risen nearly 15% this year.
As Osborne’s family prepares funeral arrangements, authorities urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. Warmsley is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next month, where prosecutors will present evidence linking him to the deadly shooting and subsequent crimes.
