HAUBSTADT, Ind. — A tragic shooting on Sunday evening in Gibson County has left three people dead and one critically injured, according to local authorities. The incident took place at a residence on South Scottsdale Drive in Haubstadt and has shaken the quiet community.
Emergency dispatchers began receiving multiple 911 calls about gunfire around 8:30 p.m. Deputies from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office quickly responded to the scene and took 77-year-old Patrick Waite into custody without resistance. Law enforcement officials have confirmed that Waite is a resident of Haubstadt and has been formally charged with murder.
