
Perry County, TN – A dispute between neighbors in Perry County turned deadly over the weekend, resulting in the fatal shooting of 45-year-old Samuel Yoder. Authorities have arrested 36-year-old Anthony Boberg in connection with the incident, charging him with criminal homicide. He is currently being held without bond, according to Sheriff Nick Weems.
The shooting occurred on Meditation Lane in the southern part of Perry County. Sheriff Weems stated that the conflict stemmed from an argument over dogs, which quickly escalated into violence. When deputies from the Perry County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene Sunday afternoon, they found Yoder deceased.
Following an initial investigation, authorities identified Boberg as the suspect. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Perry County Jail, where he remains detained. Officials have not released further details about what led to the shooting or whether any additional charges could be filed.
At the request of 32nd Judicial District Attorney General Hans Schwendimann, special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) have joined the case to assist local authorities. The investigation remains active, and officials are working to piece together the exact sequence of events that led to the deadly confrontation.
