
Authorities in Oneida County are investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a pedestrian on the night of March 3 in the Town of Verona. The victim has been identified as 61-year-old Timothy D. Sullivan, a resident of Oneida. The tragic accident occurred around 7 p.m. along Route 365, just east of the popular ice cream stand, Nicky Doodles.
Sullivan was reportedly walking toward Oneida when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and as of Tuesday afternoon, law enforcement has not located the suspect or the vehicle involved. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to assist in the investigation by providing any dash camera footage from vehicles that traveled through the area between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. on the night of the crash.
