
Woolwich, London — June 13, 2025 — A person was slashed in a violent stabbing near Woolwich Bus Station on Friday evening, prompting a swift emergency response and causing major disruptions to local bus services. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Plumstead Road, SE18, just outside the busy transport hub.
Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and Metropolitan Police, quickly arrived at the scene and established a cordon. Commuters were advised to allow extra travel time or consider alternative transport options.
In a statement, TfL warned passengers: “Due to an emergency services incident on Plumstead Road near Woolwich Bus Station, routes in the area are subject to delays, diversions, and/or curtailment. Please allow more time for your journeys and follow instructions from on-site staff.” The disruption is expected to continue until police complete their investigation at the scene.
Local authorities are urging the public to avoid the area while investigations are ongoing. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses in an effort to identify the person responsible.
